I know. I consider him the father of quantum computing, despite the Feynman simulator idea. Thought it was a funny point about what today really is like in the field because of DD.

True, although I guess the bigger point here is that these companies are funding some of the most interesting fundamental research ideas today, sort of like what Bell Labs and IBM were doing thirty years ago.
