Yep, TiddlyWiki is great. I've never quite gotten it to work for me, but it's clear lots of people love it. Evernote too, for a slightly different crowd.

I've known about TiddlyWiki for 10 years.
I think its nowhere near as easy to get started as it should be. I do love that everyone on the google group is really helpful and that at the end of the day, TiddlyWiki is just a collection of text and javascript - I can continually keep changing it to follow my changing brain.
For Evernote is there a good ‘system’ you’ve found as opposed to simply recording notes in categories to read later when one feels like?
