Like a browser-based VM? :) I remember chatting with @ch402 and @shancarter about whether Distill posts will still “work” in 10 years or even 20 years from now. I was on the more pessimistic side, maybe now I’m going to be on the losing side of that bet!
Not a terrible idea. Thought it's unclear if it'll still run in browsers a thousand years from now. I can still read the Rosetta Stone or the Ahmes Papyrus.
Should all information we record be preserved ? Through history only selected information was recorded ( stones < hand manuscript < printing press < digital ). As the amount of information captured increases its duration seems to decrease.
Digital information might need to be converted (every decade or so) to be preserved so there filtering might happen naturally
