Thanks for expressing all this, I’m constantly trying to follow and interact with optimistic/happy/GTD Twitter, and trying to prune the political/complainy side. It takes work but it’s worth it for the real world relationships. :)

Loved this thread. My original twitter acc got hacked and I created a new one only to follow this woman who gives the best book reccos. Couldn’t agree more with all that you said.

Thank you so much for sharing! I have a very similar experience on twitter. It's a magical place full of smart and kind people. (It briefly turned into a horrible place for a few weeks one time until I discovered the Mute/Block buttons.)

I very much loved your thread and grabbed a couple follows. I like the qs: whats a conversation for and whats a healthy mode of twittering. Def learning as i go. But it feels like it's a good task, like it could teach me something important. Seeing other people learn helps.

Nice thread! I am also more deliberate about the content I engage with. If a timeline doesn't add value to me one way or another, I unfollow. Life is too short. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I joined last November to share snippets from my new book, and stayed because the people interested in the book were v. interesting. Have asked whether to stay, what I could offer by way of fresh and useful material. Your thread confirms that that's a good question.
