How do people organize their reading? Perennially frustrated by this. I want one system that lets me trivially add books, papers, webpages, etc, re-organize very easily, search & filter. What works for you?

@hyfen I seem to recall that you use your memex for this. Is it a rigid structure or more ad hoc?1 reply 0 retweets 2 likes -

@vgr, I prioritize logging over queuing. My Memex has a record of everything I’ve looked at, read, or talked about over the last ~10 years. This lets me zoom out and get a good sense of where I’ve been and my brain’s pattern engine kicks in and helps decide where to go next.1 reply 0 retweets 4 likes -
I do also have a reading queue but I don’t intend to go through everything. My Memex gives me full social context of why something got queued or references from other things I’ve encountered before. Helps me decide which rabbit holes to go down, what to read in parallel etc.

Views of aggregated/synthesized information still really useful to put in front of our brains. While we patiently wait for artificial intelligence, lots left from Engelbart's augmented intelligence.
