The good thing about this is that you can discover people who are prominent within a field who have little external profile. Looking at their most influential publications is often very interesting.

You can kind of topic-surf and discover fields you didn't know were fields, and the most influential authors and papers in the field. Wish Scholar let you filter by location as well.
