I don’t like to say it, but this is my reading. There are a few interesting research systems—I’d say Jifei Ou’s work in pneumatic UI But fundamentally the field’s epistemology has been unable to understand the advances in process developed in industry

Ah, research theatre. Still, I'm looking for the best output, not the worst (or the median). The median in almost all fields is terrible; you should judge a field by its best work.
