He's contributed more than all but a handful of humans to renewable energy (including solar, & enabling battery tech), to switching autos to renewables, and he's revitalized exploration. Personally, this is not a direction of critique I'd be comfortable making.

Seems a little like criticising Albert Einstein's science on the grounds that he didn't find the structure of DNA. True, but he did his part.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me on this, and I hear you. But I tend to think the situation here on Earth is much too dire to wait around for the next generation of billionaires or geniuses to solve. I honestly wish someone with @elonmusk's ambition would go for CO2.

It seems to me better to praise his example as inspiring people to go after other big problems, much as Einstein inspired other scientists to go after big problems.

This is especially true on CO2. I can name 10 people who've done more than Musk on that. But I doubt I could name 100.

On a less argumentative note: do you have a favourite carbon sequestration tech? Or pointers to material suggesting good (possibly intermediate) business models?
