While searching around for events, I discovered that Biosphere 2 is now used as a conference center: http://biosphere2conference.org/ A pity. Great project in many ways, though of course there were problems in execution.

I've been applying to all kinds of short / week-long artist retreats/residencies (because I think scientists and artists should work together more): they always, always turn me down. This coming year though, will either brute-force my way into one or just organize my own!!
