What i'm missing in most discussions about tech+ethics, is a focus on fundamental virtues - beyond illusionary quick bug fixes.

1.Not making an "anti-tech" argument, inspecting conceptual scaffolding. 2.My tweet attributes "efficiency" as main *virtue* of tech, to addresses your "more free time via tech" point. 3.Yet "more time" isn't automatically "more meaningful" > which is where other virtues matter.

100 years ago? I am pretty sure that there remain billions of people who are still in that servant class.

Orthogonal to my point. I had in mind statistics I've seen for England, where "servant" was the largest occupation at turn of 20th century, and now is tiny. So change "servant class" to "English servant class" in my tweet.
