We are living in amazing times. What fraction of the goods and services that you consume each day would you be able to produce yourself? How would our hunter-gatherer forebears have answered that question?

I often think that my living room required a few hundred million people to make. Without mutual funds, the semi-conductor industry would be non-existent or vastly smaller, since they need to raise billions to make new fab facilities.
