Asking to "pick your brain" has become somewhat vexing to me. Why? Because it signals laziness. The best & quickest way to get help from someone (I think) is to be specific & know (somewhat) what you want to ask. Asking to pick their brain is vague & unclear. Agree? Disagree?

Depends on context - with genuine friends, it can just be a fun reason to catch up. But with casual acquaintances it's a useful signal that this person likely doesn't value your time.
