Have you seriously engaged with H's argument? Horgan's book is better than I remember (at least the opening, I'm not that far in). I went looking for rebuttals and it's striking how bad they are, even - perhaps especially - those from famous scientists.

I read it back when it came out, too. I'm inclined to think my earlier dismissal was wrong. His argument has some bad flaws, but it's more correct & interesting than many of his critics' "rebuttals".
