No. String theory has the standard model of particle physics as a low-energy limit. Some predictions are accurate to better than one part in a trillion. The "no predictions" comment common in popular writing refers to predictions beyond the standard model.

Nope. There are 10^500 possible string theories, each corresponding to a different vacuum state (different physics). Since this number is gigantic, it is likely that one of those theories give raise to the SM at its low energy limit.

Basically, there are many string theories for every possible low energy limit... this means zero predictive power.
