With 280 characters, why limit yourself to 3?
Seriously, and related to our earlier conversation Kevin: 280 characters will make conversation beyond "Yes, and" much easier.

A similar increase in comment sizes was enabled on FriendFeed (back when it existed), & the improvement in conversation quality was notable

Oh cool, I hope it has that effect! I’m worried it’ll erode what I like about Twitter, but will allow myself some cautious optimism :)
