Economic models didn't predict Wikipedia editors or suicide bombers. There is far more to human motivations than economic incentives.

That's a strange perspective. Modern microeconomics is more predictive than any alternative theory that explains human mass behavior. So yea, it's mediocre, and it's the best thing we've got.
