@michael_nielsen @tuuliel That's true; the key thing is that books themselves are a terrible vehicle for academic credit (except for eds).

@dgmacarthur @michael_nielsen @tuuliel This sounds subject specific. Certainly not the case in philosophy.

@hyperpape @michael_nielsen @tuuliel True, advice is much less relevant in philosophy, where *nothing* is widely read or cited. :-)
