To my surprise, some replies assume I'm going there for news. I guess it's a sorta secondary motivation, but it's certainly not the motivator. Mostly it's just fascination/curiosity about the diffs in worldviews. Related to this:

I get my news exclusively from twitter and independent political commentators on YouTube. My news universe also looks very different from either of those (to be clear this is entirely due to force of habit and the ways in which someone my age is drawn to different sources).

I just glance at both webpages, rarely for more than a few minutes. I'm most interested in what they're covering, not the details of their coverage (I guess I often read one article?) I find both almost completely unwatchable.
