Idea for anyone who wants it: detect which colleges have tried hardest to game college rankings. I know from spam filtering that bad guys leave statistical tracks they don't realize they're leaving, and I'm sure colleges that gamed the system didn't think of this.

so let's take Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and CalTech (QS, THE; AWS). Stanford: 2, 4, 2 Harvard: 3, 7, 1 MIT: 1, 5, 4 CT: 5, 2, 9 It's all about different methodologies to measure 'top'. Which you will notice if you go into the websites and read the methodology section.

It’s not a huge difference at all. This isn’t a sport. It’s highly subjective. It’s more like ballon Dor before Messi and Ronaldo But everyone knows university rankings are BS anyway. Does it surprise me that the English list is set up to rank English Unis first? Of course not.

As a student, will you get a better education at Harvard, Cambridge, Imperial, MIT? No, it’s mostly about the student. Not like a uni with more Nobel laureates means you get a better education.
