Really fantastic: practical part, explanation for current dearth of progress, and future potential! I’ve hacked together a few of these tools for myself & this gave great ideas. I really hope this thinking gets more uptake & work, e.g. most non fiction should be in this format.

The idea that 1) writing cards is a skill/art/craft, and that 2) card quality is crucial to seem key to me. Longterm shifting this burden to the writer (i.e. QC as a new medium) seems key for success: Less work for reader & more likely to create good cards.

This was very interesting! Definitely looking forward to trying out quantum country, or maybe even trying to create my own mnemonic essay 🙂. I have a couple thoughts that I'm pondering after reading.

You mentioned how it's important for someone studying to make their own cards rather than use someone else's, though quantum country violates this. I wonder if part of this relates to the narrative structure. Solely using cards almost feels like an "orphaned deck".

Very interesting! The discussion about LOGO reminded me of Terry Tao's high school algebra Scratch game:https://terrytao.wordpress.com/2012/04/18/new-version-of-algebra-game/ …

In my own experience, conversing about an idea is one of the most effective ways to retain the idea. I get a positive emotional response when I have something perhaps unique to share to my friend.

Now, the act of me commenting on your writing instills knowledge I received from reading. I'm also happy to share this thought in hopes of it sparking new ideas.
