Just ordered Brand's "How Buildings Learn", Illich's "Deschooling Society", Ostrom's "Governing the Commons", Adams's "Watership Down", Lakatos's "Proofs and Refutations", Gleick's "Genius". Six books I love, and hope someone else will enjoy too.

Every time I do a white elephant gift exchange (it does by a bunch of different names) this is what I bring! Pleasant surprise from the last one—the recipient sent me the book back with their notes after 
My girlfriend brings books to potlucks with a little handwritten sign for people to take them. I like the idea of the personal note!
Love this! One thing I want to host more of: "antilibrary dinners" — each person brings a few books from the top of their unread stack, share why they find them so interesting, and discuss together. I also did a "book swap" party a few birthdays back, tons of fun :)
Maybe @webdevMason do this for your next book swap. Last one I felt like I was bringing my B-class books (or dupes). I might have preferred to buy one or two new very favorite books, and get others' favorites too.
