Currently being invited to “add a bit of historical context” when I keynote conferences. Not sure whether this is a good sign. I mean, the tech industry desperately needs some historical context. Some grasp of history. But, I’ve got a sneaking suspicion it’s not a good sign…

Well, provided it's about the 20th and 21st centuries it's not too bad. If they're asking about the 19th that's not so good! :-)

That would be reasonable to assume.. But that's not how it works in practice... I have been told a zillion times that what I have done never happened, simply because its beyond somebody's very limited context. Solipsism of the worst kind...
