If in most universes Blade Runner doesn't have "Tears in Rain" (because Rutger Hauer got cold feet, was talked out of it, was distracted, etc.) then it sounds like luck to me. Opposite of luck is where most universes have it, but that's unlikely with a last-minute change.
Given the way casting usually works, in most universes Hauer wasn't in the movie.
Failed projects are, indeed, common. But beauty is created by creativity and effort---the opposite of luck.
We're talking about two different things: @Crit_Rat about the actual moment of creativity; @michael_nielsen and I about the events that allowed that moment to exist. The events were "lucky" in the sense that in most universes that moment doesn't have an opportunity to happen.
