A short proof that the circuit for quantum teleportation works:https://twitter.com/michael_nielsen/status/1131784174203953153 …

michael_nielsen @michael_nielsenHad some fun this afternoon re-analyzing the circuit for quantum teleportation. Here's a proof I found that the circuit works. The circuit to be verified: top two qubits are Alice's, including the state psi to be teleported. Bottom qubit is Bob's - want to show it outputs psi. pic.twitter.com/w7Bl3FPZ1BShow this thread1 reply 1 retweet 16 likesShow this thread -

Where does that teleportation circuit come from anyway? A short piece of Twitter discovery fiction, explaining a plausible story by which you might have come to discover the circuit for quantum teleportation in the first place:https://twitter.com/michael_nielsen/status/1132063254849527808 …

michael_nielsen @michael_nielsenExamples of books (or stories) that you reread years later, & found to be much better? For me: Arrival (Ted Chiang, loved it even the first time); Speaker for the Dead (ditto: loved it at first, even more upon reread); the Great Gatsby (didn't like first time, loved the second)Show this thread2 replies 3 retweets 15 likesShow this thread -

If all you knew was the roman numerals, how could you invent a better way of representing numbers?https://twitter.com/michael_nielsen/status/1174420006907473920 …

michael_nielsen @michael_nielsenImagine you're a designer or mathematician living in ancient Rome. Being a curious & imaginative sort, used to exploring wild ideas, you ask yourself: is there some way you can improve on the roman numeral system? Might it be possible to find a better way of representing number?Show this thread1 reply 2 retweets 7 likesShow this threadThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
