There's a sort of implied piece, too, which IIRC Mascelli says elsewhere: it can be anywhere _in this or any imagined Universe_ - instantly to view anything from any angle. What an incredible freedom, and set of choices.

Heuristic: long list of interesting subjects (carpentry, dance, origins of the novel, space colony design, anti-matter production, etc). For most there are a tonne of books & papers. Careful use of Google Scholar, Goodreads & Amazon will reveal which are extraordinary. Read them

I often think of how in animation it goes from what's filmable to anything at all yet what people animate is often fairly boring. It's why things like Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse or Paprika speak to me. They really use the infinite canvas and push the medium.
