And please don't leave your laptops unlocked. I'm shocked at the number of people who do this at coffee shops.

I like it. It means their model (& probably their experience) of the world is high trust. A friend of mine once explained that in his (tiny, very neighbourly) town it was customary to leave doors unlocked on vacation. "After all, what if someone needed to get in?"
