Banesh Hoffman's biography of Einstein is the most exciting I've read. The author is a physicist who is genuinely excited about Einstein's discoveries, and it moves fast instead of trying to leave no detail unpublished (a common flaw in biographies). https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&cm_sp=SearchF-_-home-_-Results&an=banesh+hoffman …

That was one of the books that made me want to become a physicist! I think I got it from the library when I was about 14 or 15. I also loved Abraham Pais's astonishing bio of Einstein, "Subtle is the Lord". It's very detailed on the science, though
