Have any aphantastics tried visual mnemonic techniques, like the method of loci, memory palaces, etc? Do they work at all for you?

Memory palace has been tremendously powerful for me - but it required practice - also not useful for any practical things except for remembering random strings of letters and numbers - but it works. At one point I was memorizing one 12-figure string every day for many days.
