It’s a great line of inquiry! I have aphantasia and the key mnemonic method that works for me is word and sound patterns. Palaces ineffective; rhyme and alliteration effective.

I did try a while ago and I did find it helped quite a lot actually! The only problem was the amount of maintenance the house required (so to speak), I would need to practice daily and for a lot of time or it would fade rapidly (exams ended up taking priority).

I've read about them and found the instructions completely baffling to the point where I couldn't even try. I've recently figured out that I do seem to have an adequate spatial memory and wondered if I could use that to adapt them but I haven't made any attempt to yet.
