I'd like to create some personalized cards, same size as regular playing cards, but where I specify images on front and back. Lots of options online, but many seem rather dodgy (& with difficult interfaces). Can anyone recommend a good one, shipping from the US?

I know @fredbenenson looked at a bunch of options for @PitchDeckGame, though iirc he ended up writing some custom tooling to generate pdfs or something…

Yep, been there done that... have a repo if you’d like @michael_nielsen, basically Google Docs -> Ruby -> PDF -> PrinterStudio. @tashian is using it for a project recently.

Thanks! I've been composing stuff in figma, which seems to just immediately export to pdf, so I think I probably don't need the repo. Will PrinterStudio simply convert a pdf to multiple cards?

I forgot a part - I actually used Acrobat to export the PDFs into single .TIF files and then uploaded those using PrinterStudio’s wizard which can be a little fiddly but actually works quite well

I've just been playing with it. Seems... yeah, fiddly but functional. Seems to work with folder of pngs, which figma will also do a nice job exporting. Thanks!

Yeah, it takes some getting used to but the end product is good quality and arrives really quickly. Kind of still amazed at how well it works.

Oh, that looks promising! Looking at: https://www.shutterfly.com/photo-gifts/playing-cards … Any other options there I should be looking at?

No worries, I think I'll probably just be customizing one side.

I've previously used http://makeplayingcards.com  with custom art for front and back and found the product satisfactory; cards arrived about two weeks after I placed the order and are of good quality.

Also, I recommend getting the 310 linen finish on the cards, particularly if you want to use them for card tricks (but even if you don't it just kind of feels nicer to handle than gloss finishes).
