What advice seems obviously right, is relatively easy to follow, and is usually ignored?

Having tried to implement this many times, I'd say this is *not* easy. It requires taking notes the first time you learn, condensing notes into a system that supports spaced repetition, scheduling time, and tracking and managing various stacks of knowledge.

That's a good point! It does add a lot of overhead right now.
