Fun fact: beautifully readable (& executable) ports of lots of classic games are now available (eg Zork: http://i7-dungeon.sourceforge.net/source.html ) I find it oddly compelling to see the game whole in the source.

I'd forgotten that sound! Also the sinking feeling when the disk gets corrupted and you can literally hear that there's a problem!
