Many young people trapped in the "intellectual black hole". A person that's very good at consuming impressive amounts of information. But doesn't produce much. The best people output often more than they input, IMHO. In a kind of uncontrollable way.

Good description of such unproductive dullards as Machiavelli (~10 years of study before writing a book, IIRC). There's a type of person who simply takes a long time ingesting information & then produces a masterpiece so strong it's _part of the language_ nearly a millenium later
I don't entirely disagree with your core claim. But it's really easy to think of lots of counterexamples. And many people who produce in a way that's superficially impressive are producing little of durable value.

This could theoretically be fixed if we had a thriving market for ISA’s. We wouldn’t doubt the Michelangelo’s during their 10-year learning periods if their ISA’s were being priced at ten times the market average.
