Most scientific & mathematical disciplines I know of have results that educated outsiders can appreciate and go "wow" after a brief acquaintance, even without understanding the details. Does anyone know of such a result for category theory?

Alternative pitch: P1: "Hey, have you ever noticed that field extensions in algebra feel a little like covering spaces in topology?" P2: "Huh, I guess they..." P3: "They're like the same thing and you can do Galois theory on both!"

You don't really need category theory for this [1], but it is one nice way to express it. [1]https://terrytao.wordpress.com/2018/08/28/trying-to-understand-the-galois-correspondence/ …
