they probably have it in the back. if you can forge a good relationship with employees or the owner of a bookstore, they might sell it to you early :)

Haha, my quest today has been going to random SF bookstores looking for Robert Caro's new book. Which comes out tuesday but apparently is already in some bookstores in nyc. If you could put out word to all the cats you are friends with at every sf bookstore to find it. plz

Kevin, they have these really great devices called "phones" that can be used to speed this process up! (Srsly, my sympathies - I've done the same for other books. In this case, I'm willing to wait until Tuesday.)
