I mean university attendance going from absolutely hegemonic in my social class to “Oh you went to university? Cool, you do you.” in 20 years or less.
For people with my background it's gone from "Oh, that's unusual" to "where did you get your PhD" to "where did you go to school?" Of the 110 people who started in my high school class, IIRC 6 went to university at the end. I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from that, though
