This got me thinking... What book reviews/book summaries are arguably better than the book itself? For example, 80% of the value for 5% of the time. Tamara’s rec below is great. Seconding the Seeing Like A State review. Also, either Scott or Venkat reviewed The Origins of Consciousness in the Bicameral Mind and that is also a great 80/20, having tried and failed to get through the actual book.
