@devonzuegel's Evernote use, with no success). In fact, I'm moving mostly back to paper, to Anki, and to pinboard. So much easier (for me).
Interesting. I use my notebook and pinboard like that, and entering questions into Anki. Anki does need an extra review step thought; it's become so rewarding, though, that it often feels more like eating ice cream than vegetables. (Has taken time and effort to get to that point)

"Automaticness" is a really interesting criterion. Notebooks and pinboard are definitely way more in the "Twitter" category (effortless / automatic) than Anki (it _is_ a discipline).
