What's an example of the kind of "stay in your lane" messaging you're thinking of?

I honestly didn't believe this was a thing when I first heard about it (from an Aussie). My impression is that having ambitious plans is much more likely to win you social approval than scorn. (And at worst, people are too polite to say they think you're gonna fail)
Curious: was I the Aussie? I vaguely remember a conversation along these lines with you.Told it by teachers all the time growing up. And then for anything both ambitious & unusual later.

Having lived in Europe as well the US, I am pretty sure that ambition and big dreams are more encouraged and celebrated in US than in Europe. I think it comes with the American individualism.
