Coincidently, I saw this just after finishing https://www.amazon.com/Ends-World-Apocalypses-Understand-Extinctions/dp/0062364804 …, a great overview of lots of much bigger prehistoric events, most of which caused huge changes in CO2 levels, that repeatedly nearly wiped out all life on earth. This event doesn’t even warrant a mention.
