Pretty sure you wrote it in Etherpad(???) Stypi didn't exist until 2011, according to Crunchbase. I really liked the replay feature, and IIRC showed your essay being written to many people, first on the Etherpad site, and later on Stypi.

I wish there was a corpus of essays being written. One big benefit of the Polymath Project (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polymath_Project … ) is that it creates a corpus of genuine mathematical work - so beginning mathematicians get to see how top mathematicians work, make mistakes, etc.

Ditto open source software, though existing interface patterns make it harder to see project evolution than is the case for the Polymath Project.
