Watch how "Startups in 13 Sentences" got written. I wrote it using an editor written by a YC startup called Stypi, and replay was one of its features. The text with yellow background will eventually be deleted. http://byronm.com/13sentences.html …

Pretty sure you wrote it in Etherpad(???) Stypi didn't exist until 2011, according to Crunchbase. I really liked the replay feature, and IIRC showed your essay being written to many people, first on the Etherpad site, and later on Stypi.

Yipes, you may be right. The Stypis may have ported it from Etherpad. Sorry Etherpads. That's what happens when you fund the same idea repeatedly.

I wish there was a corpus of essays being written. One big benefit of the Polymath Project (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polymath_Project … ) is that it creates a corpus of genuine mathematical work - so beginning mathematicians get to see how top mathematicians work, make mistakes, etc.

Ditto open source software, though existing interface patterns make it harder to see project evolution than is the case for the Polymath Project.
