BTW, as @pierre_azoulay says, if you don't like the term "disruptive" here - it's an overloaded and much-abused term - just substitute "interesting novelty".

I've often suspected that the fact that startups initially consist only of the founders – which most founders think is a problem they must "fix" as soon as they have money to – is actually one of the reasons startups work at all.

There should be way more focus on creatively playing around, and not just in science. Basic income would help give people a sense of dignity and security... otherwise it's more safe and sensible to do boring stuff.
