There just aren’t any companies founded in e.g. 2000 that took 30yrs to get to 50b simply because that would be in the future! All the companies hit the mark around 2000 +/-20 or so years...
It feels like there’s some relationship between networks that means at any given time there’s an only-recently discovered $50bn pa opportunity...
...and that as those opportunities become a function of increasingly stacked network effects the speed of the competition to win the race that exists at a given time gets faster. I’m not sure what happens when the time horizon gets to 0yrs, though.
