Intellectual aesthetic seems like a high-order bit in what I pay attention to, and what I screen out. Mildly concerning.

If I knew, I'd perhaps expand my aesthetic. I'm just thinking about important things I saw early... and largely ignored, because they fell outside my aesthetic.

Very true. Have you found it to be the case that the more truths you've uncovered in one subject, the better your ability to scrutinize the truths of others or at least be aware of decorated "truths."

If anything, perhaps the reverse. I sometimes find refining an aesthetic makes it harder to appreciate others.
