And fraud. From what I understand, all companies like this, from Gratipay on, spend staggering amounts of effort dealing with CC fraud, chargebacks, etc.
I wonder what those 300 people do? (Hard to write that without sounding like snark, but it's a genuine question.)

A hefty chunk of that is likely related to content moderation. I have read articles about quite a few people that have been deplatformed from Patreon.

Curious how this compares to Kickstarter, who I believe is in a similar ballpark revenue-wise but around half the headcount. Personally I'm very interested to see how Patreon's Memberful acquisition works out (potential for capturing more of the subscription biz high end…)
