Yes, based on my experience, the more senior you are, the more time you spend saying the same thing over and over, and the more people tell you they don't know what's going on. That childhood telephone game at scale is real.

Been thinking more about your comment about "sparking joy". It connects to the oh-so-common derisive attitude to marketing from science-and-tech people, the "It's just hype / BS". Bad marketing often is.
