Is there anything to be learned from a small-scale outdoor experiment that would be likely to make a material difference in the decision of whether or not to deploy a solar geoengineering system?
If so, what is the experiment and what would we learn?

Not a chemist, so maybe this is a silly suggestion, but: if an air sample can be brought back, it might be possible to see if there are any surprising byproducts, due to unanticipated reactions.
