To the very limited extent I've talked to the people involved, it's obvious: they were deeply influenced by developments in art, music, architecture, psychology, literature, etc et, & often talking to (or working with) practitioners.. who mostly can't afford to live here any more

Thanks, ordered the book! I underrated the contribution of the arts. Curious to find out 1) where the value is added by the arts and through what mechanisms, and 2) whether the majority of people need to be in the culture, or merely the elite class. Looking forward to reading it
