C.S. Lewis. His wit, candor, and curiosity are endlessly engaging. He explores the full range of the human condition. And, he’s a jack of all trades: nonfiction, fiction, lectures, essays (and master of all).
Yes - I've only started to read his essays in the past few years, and have found them surprisingly interesting!
